Portland, OR – Tualatin-based distributor SemiTorr Group, Inc (www.semitorrinc.com) today announced that it has acquired the distribution assets of AlphaBio, Inc. (www.alphabio.com), headquartered in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. AlphaBio will be integrated with Global Innovations (www.gi-lifescience.com), the life sciences division of SemiTorr Group. In addition, Global Innovations will become the exclusive distributor of Aquasyn and Artesyn valves and components in the eleven western states (CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, UT, CO, NV, AZ and NM) and Texas.
Throughout its 25 year history, SemiTorr has achieved significant organic growth through its effective customer service, best-in-class product offering, and its world-class, technical sales team. With the acquisition of AlphaBio’s distribution business, SemiTorr plans to bring these capabilities to the life sciences market via Global Innovations. Further, this acquisition represents the opportunity to combine Global Innovations’ distribution network and regional strength with AlphaBio’s strong product suite and customer relationships.
AlphaBio is a leading specialty distributor of high purity flow control systems and components used to transport fluids and chemicals in the manufacturing processes of the life sciences and medical device industries.
